Hello There!
We hope your day is going well, splendidly. 🌸
Female Brilliance - We have two tasks here - as we save the world:
- Create beauty
- Nurture life
Under “Create beauty” we include ourselves because we Fems are beautiful - all of us. We are capitalizing on our natural beauty and enhancing it according to our preference, our style, our circumstances, and our budgets even!
This is something we love about the American culture, that all races and nationalities are beautiful - the melting pot concept. Some of us may come from cultures that preach a certain beauty standard that does not include everyone. For example, a native culture may emphasize to its people that fair skin is beautiful - the fairer, the more beautiful.
There is nothing wrong with that standard because it probably has deep historical roots in tradition and practice. However, reality shows us that probably not everyone will have a very fair complexion, right? Just a statistical reality. That means some will be considered more beautiful than others just by genetics. Perhaps the women of that culture spend their lifetimes trying to achieve that perfect extra-fair complexion - with their beauty routines and products…
At EHSWO, we believe we don’t have to try that hard to be something that we are not. 🥱 We can if we wish, of course. However, if we don’t have that ideal attribute, it might be ridiculous for our lifetime trying to achieve that supposedly ideal thing. And it can be quite spendy. 💰
Really now.
Please raise your hand if you would like to spend your entire life trying to be something that you are not.
Our thought is that we truly appreciate what we ourselves have to offer. EHSWO: Everyone has something wonderful to offer.
Of course, we can accept that some people are born simply beautiful. Anyone from any spot on the planet could look at this person and quickly agree, “Wow, that person is gorgeous.”
That’s pretty terrific, that certain human features and proportions are universally attractive - the subject of aesthetics.
And the rest of us normal people have to put more effort into it - if we choose to. There’s this idea to make ourselves as attractive as possible, hence fashion and make-up.
At Female Brilliance we are all for enhancing our natural appearance, making the most of what we have. We think it’s a lot of fun, actually. Experimenting, evaluating, changing, tweaking, updating - all that. 👍🏼
Starting with *COLOR*
There are a few color theories out there, and many, many people have written and spoken about them. At Female Brilliance we are not adding any new theories, really because we’re not experts. Lol. But we want to offer some thoughts to consider because we would love it if every Fem out there looked totally breathtaking whether she’s in sweats or a formal gown. Color can make a huge difference.
Just this past Christmas season, I wore a cute tomato red crew neck pullover sweater that had “Merry” in white text knitted into it. My mom asked me if I was sick. True story. I felt just fine. I love that sweater because it’s happy, and I embellish it with patches, pins, etc., during the holidays.
I felt slightly insulted. 😣
A few days later on Christmas I wore an intense true red, almost blue-ish red dress, white blouse underneath, and my mom said it was much nicer than what I wore last year (can’t remember what I wore last year, but surprisingly she did).
Then about 2 weeks later, a family friend said I looked really good, very healthy when I showed up in a bright pink hoodie. I told her it was the color of my sweatshirt.
Being slightly familiar with color theory and my skin tone, I could decode what was happening. The shade of red (warm or cool) made a huge difference. I have this fun sweater which happened to be the wrong shade of red -which actually made me look sick. Not good. So next year I’ll have to decide if I want to wear an adorable sweater that makes me look ill. Right?
And I learned that hoodie is really good with my skin. For awhile I hesitated wearing it bc I thought it was a little bright and didn’t really want to make such a statement. Not necessary to always attract attention - and not wanting to. Now I may wear it more often if it looks that nice on me. 😉
OK.
Here we land on a couple of conflicting factors:
> There may be clothes we really like but don’t flatter us very well.
> There may be clothes that really flatter us that we don’t feel that comfortable wearing at certain times.
The plot thickens. 🤓
Just wanted to leave these thoughts for now, and we’ll pick up again, cool?
Our FB wish:

And now for the WEIRD STUFF…
We are going to drop some terminology here and there so you’ll recognize it and tune in as you go through your news sources, social media, etc.
Term:
Nanotechnology - “nanotech” for short
(pronounced like “Nana” with an o)
This is extremely small technology that is measured at one billionth of a meter in size, around the size of molecules.
It’s commonly used in many different areas - medicine, devices, food, etc.
